We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our team as Security Guards at houses of worship in New York City. No prior experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training to all new hires. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to handle potentially stressful situations calmly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure security protocols are being followed.
• Control access to the house of worship by checking identification and authorization of individuals entering the premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, investigating disturbances and reporting findings.
• Maintain a logbook of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Collaborate with house of worship staff, local law enforcement  and emergency services when necessary.
• Enforce house of worship policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for congregants and staff.
• Provide support and assistance to congregants, ensuring their safety and well-being during services and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License (or willingness to obtain one).
• No prior experience necessary – we provide comprehensive training.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Sensitivity and understanding of the needs and challenges of house of worship congregants.
